My Love's Eyes

I looked across the sky

And what there did I see

But the most beautiful sunrise

Beckoning me.

The rose was bright, the land

Was dark, echoing my fear.

But the sky was mixed with

Firey flame, drawing me more near.

City lights danced and flickered,

Much to my delight;

A burgundy awakening

Capturing my sight.

The love that I have found

Reminds me of sunrise skies,

For I see all these colors

As I look into my love's eyes.
