Now I know.

My heart was aching,

My soul was bleak.

I could not stand,

I dared not speak.

With tender love

And all your care,

Your arms around me,

You were there.

My sobs were issued

From deep inside

So much pain

I longed to hide.

But you were there,

Made your love known

At last I knew

I was not alone.

And through the hurt,

Through the pain

Through the loneliness,

Through the rain

You comforted me,

Deep inside

You held me close

And did not hide.

At last, I knew comfort

And was not ashamed.

At last, I knew.
