Songbird
a poem by thenorm
A cool, winter breeze
Kisses my skin.
As I listen,
In the distance,
A songbird calls to me.
The trees begin to
Moan and sway
And I am
Enchanted
By their gentle dance.
Dare I dance this dance?
Can I dream this dream?
A pillow of grass
Finds my head
As I stare into the sky.
Breath in,
Breath out.
A songbird calls to me.
