Daylight Strikes Your Smile
a poem by thenorm
Daylight strikes your smile
Then whisks itself away.
In your eyes, for just a while,
It lingers, then does call a day.
Moonlight oft does shimmer
Upon your silvery frame.
Tears do seldom glimmer,
From your eyes, filled with pain.
Your eyes are cold as steel,
And as distant as the seas.
No one knows what you feel
Or who you used to be.
Who you are, I dont know
But you never leave when you go.
