I can't feel you now.

A memory to my soul,

You are gone from my life.

Heartaches upon heartbreaks,

I cannot feel you now.

You courted me

With friendship;

I stood in

Sweet Surprise.

But that was then

And this is now;

You were

So Long Ago.

I was taken by your promise;

Held fast by the dream

That you'd be there,

That you would care

And we would share our schemes.

That was a long,

Long time ago.

I shared with you

My secrets.

You shared with me

Your Soul.

Yet I shared you with another.

No, my dear

That was

O-So Long Ago

And I cannot feel you

Now.
