The Mirror
a poem by thenorm
Oh, my reflection flickers by
And filters away; 'tis not the
Sorrow of His Loss
I feel, for mine own heart
Hath never known
The sweet remembrance
Of Goodbye.
Be it not mine eyes
That mist, for, like a candle,
He always flickers away.
No one told me, no one knew
The mirror cracked, and I
Alone, stood to face
Your World.
Your Dreams.
Mine eyes did never cry.
Though my mirror cracked
And so did I.
