A New Day
a poem by thenorm
The cool, summer morning
Slightly kisses my skin
As I step into the sun.
It is now
As it should have always been
And should always be.
I turn my head from
Shadows
And along the Shore.
I watch the waves
As they shimmer
And dance,
Their enchanting melody
Lingering in my ear.
The summer breeze
Feather touches my skin
As beams from the sun
Reach out me,
Embracing me.
Bringing me home.
I bask in the warmth.
I do not look back.
I do not look ahead.
It is now
As it should have
Always been
And should always be.
And it is enough
For now.
