Lies
a poem by thenorm
The wisdom
well, we hear the
lies.
I love you;
Go Away.
Well, don't mind
Me; I'm leaving. And
Did you honestly
Think
You
Could stop my
Flight? Oh,
Come now, you
Knew the score.
I don't need you,
Don't worry. You're
Not that important
And I never need
To be near you again,
I lied. And I bit back
The silent slivers
Of my deepest desires.
And I held you close;
I pushed you away.
Well you might've
Seen my soul.
Rejected me.
And I couldn't bear
The pain.
So I resisted,
Relented under
The Heat Of Pressure
And held fast
To The Naked Truth
And Killed You.
With Lies.
