The Moon
a poem by thenorm
Here,
Alone and wondering,
Watching and waiting,
Holding life at bay
On distant shores.
She watches all,
She calls to none.
Suspended in the Cool Night Air,
I stop.
In my shallow life
Looking at her,
Wishing
I was like Her.
Belonging
Without wanting,
Being
Without needing.
I continue
On my search and see
The Moon as she looks down on me
And Smiles.
