That Was Then
a poem by thenorm
In a field of daises,
Lilies,
Blue Children waltzed to my
Melody; I, in flowing shadows
Loved O-So endlessly.
But that was a long,
Long time ago;
That was Then This Is Now.
And the Sunset
Waited for me
As I made my way
To The Sea; the colors
Danced Only For Me. I knew
Peace, as the Dove
Came back to me.
But that was a long, long time ago;
That was Then This Is Now.
And I, in my innocence
Believed your Harmony Song;
It was Just A Song.
And I was Swept,
Carried Away, when I thought you meant
well Never Mind
It was such a long,
Long time ago.
I must be Stronger now.
As a tear Falls
From My Soul,
I Do Know that
That Was Then and This
Is Now.
Forever.
