Please Understand
a poem by thenorm
My face was like a book
That you read for pleasure.
I was like a gem,
Priceless was the treasure.
As the crow flies,
As the song dies,
As the lover lies,
Saying, "Please understand."
Hours pass and day by day,
My innocence slowly slipping away,
As bittersweet memries erode my face,
I know that I will never erase
"Please understand."
